Edit PDF metadata

See what is inside your PDF – and remove private data with one tap.

How can I check that nothing is uploaded?

Your files are processed in this browser tab. This page has no function that sends files to a server, and its security rules (Content Security Policy) forbid connections to other servers.

Check it yourself: load this page, then switch on flight mode or disconnect Wi-Fi and run the tool. It still works – because everything happens on your device.

Why FaLe?
  • Everything at a glance

Besides the usual properties, the tool shows XMP metadata, embedded files, JavaScript, author names in comments and custom fields.

  • One tap for privacy

“Remove everything private” deletes properties, XMP, attachments, scripts, application data and author names at once.

  • Exactly your values

No advertising or application name is added: whatever you leave empty stays empty.

  • No upload

The PDF is only read and saved in your browser – ideal for confidential documents.

Frequently asked questions
What is PDF metadata?

Extra information in the file, such as title, author, the application that created it and dates. It often contains names or internal information you don’t want to send along.

What exactly does “Remove everything private” remove?

All document properties, XMP metadata, embedded files, JavaScript and automatic actions, application private data and author names in comments. The visible page content stays unchanged.

Does it remove names written in the text?

No. Names or data in the visible text stay. Use “Redact PDF” to remove text passages for good.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser; nothing leaves your device.

What about password-protected PDFs?

You type the password on the file. The saved PDF is protected again with the same password.
