Convert PDF to PNG

Razor-sharp PNG images of every page – with a transparent background if you like.

How can I check that nothing is uploaded?

Your files are processed in this browser tab. This page has no function that sends files to a server, and its security rules (Content Security Policy) forbid connections to other servers.

Check it yourself: load this page, then switch on flight mode or disconnect Wi-Fi and run the tool. It still works – because everything happens on your device.

Good to know

How it works – step by step
  1. Choose a PDF

Pick one or more PDFs. Unlock protected PDFs right on the file card.

  2. Choose settings

Set pages and resolution and turn on the transparent background if needed. The bar at the bottom shows the approximate file size.

  3. Convert and save

One page comes straight as a PNG, several one by one or as a ZIP. On your phone, share the images with one tap.

Why FaLe?
  • Lossless

PNG stores every pixel exactly. Text, lines and charts stay free of compression artefacts.

  • Transparent background

Empty areas can become see-through – ideal for reusing logos or graphics from a PDF.

  • Correct print size

The resolution is stored in the file. Printed, the image has the size of the PDF page again.

  • No upload

Everything runs in your browser. Your PDF stays on your device.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my background still white?

Some PDFs fill the page with a white area themselves. That area is part of the content and stays visible. Only areas where nothing is drawn become transparent.

Why are PNG files larger than JPG?

PNG compresses losslessly. Text pages stay small, photos and scans get much larger. For photos, “PDF to JPG” is the better choice.

Which resolution makes sense?

150 dpi for screens and presentations, 300 dpi for print. The bar at the bottom shows the pixel size and estimated file size in advance.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The images are created in your browser, nothing is sent to a server.
