How can I check that nothing is uploaded?
Your files are processed in this browser tab. This page has no function that sends files to a server, and its security rules (Content Security Policy) forbid connections to other servers.
Check it yourself: load this page, then switch on flight mode or disconnect Wi-Fi and run the tool. It still works – because everything happens on your device.
Good to know
How it works – step by step
Choose a PDF
Pick one or more PDFs, for example a catalogue, a brochure or a presentation.
Set the filter
Small icons and duplicate images are left out automatically. The slider sets from which size an image counts.
Save the images
You see all images found as a preview. Save them one by one, as a ZIP, or share them straight from your phone.
Why FaLe?
True original quality
JPG photos are copied from the PDF byte for byte, not re-rendered or compressed again.
No clutter
Icons, bullets and logos that repeat on every page don’t end up in the result a hundred times.
Transparency kept
Images with see-through areas and formats browsers can’t show directly are saved losslessly as PNG.
No upload
The PDF is searched in your browser. It never leaves your device.

Frequently asked questions
Why do I get JPG and PNG files?
JPG images are taken over unchanged, so no quality is lost. Images in other formats or with transparency are saved losslessly as PNG.
Why is an image I can see in the PDF missing?
Some things only look like images but are drawn from lines and shapes (vector graphics) – that is not an embedded image. Save the page as a picture with “PDF to PNG” instead. Also check the slider for small images.
What about scanned PDFs?
A scan is usually one large image per page. You then get every scanned page as an image at the resolution it was scanned with.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, your PDF stays on your device.
