How can I check that nothing is uploaded?
Your files are processed in this browser tab. This page has no function that sends files to a server, and its security rules (Content Security Policy) forbid connections to other servers.
Check it yourself: load this page, then switch on flight mode or disconnect Wi-Fi and run the tool. It still works – because everything happens on your device.

Why FaLe?
Opens everywhere
Some programs and upload forms don’t accept WebP. A PDF opens on almost any device.
Transparency handled
WebP images with transparent areas are embedded losslessly so nothing turns black. Photos without transparency are stored compactly.

Your images stay on your device.

Frequently asked questions
Why do websites save images as WebP?
WebP is smaller than JPG or PNG, so pages load faster. When you save an image from your browser, it often ends up as WebP on your device.
How is the WebP put into the PDF?
Images with transparency are embedded losslessly. Images without transparency are stored as high-quality JPG – you won’t see a difference with the naked eye.
What about animated WebP images?
The PDF gets the first frame of the animation. A PDF can’t play animations.
Can I mix WebP with other formats?
This page is about WebP. For mixed images (JPG, PNG, WebP …) use “JPG to PDF”.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser.
