Open and read PDFs

Open any PDF right in your browser – with search, zoom and night mode. The file stays on your device.

How can I check that nothing is uploaded?

Your files are processed in this browser tab. This page has no function that sends files to a server, and its security rules (Content Security Policy) forbid connections to other servers.

Check it yourself: load this page, then switch on flight mode or disconnect Wi-Fi and run the tool. It still works – because everything happens on your device.

Why FaLe?
  • Fast even with big PDFs

Only the pages you are looking at are drawn, so thick manuals stay smooth.

  • Made for phones

Pinch-zoom, double-tap, large buttons and a full-screen reader. The back button closes it.

  • Search with highlights

All matches are highlighted on the pages; the arrows take you from match to match.

  • Private and offline

The PDF is not uploaded. After the first visit the reader also works without internet.

Frequently asked questions
Can I open a password-protected PDF?

Yes. If the PDF is protected, the tool asks for the password. It is only used in your browser and never stored.

Why does search find nothing in my PDF?

In scanned PDFs the text is just an image. Use “OCR PDF” to make them searchable first.

Can I print the PDF?

Yes, via the three dots and “Print”. The pages are prepared in good print quality.

Is the PDF uploaded?

No. The file is only opened in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.

Can I add notes or highlights?

This reader is made for reading. Highlights, notes and forms are available in the FaLe PDF app.
