How can I check that nothing is uploaded?
Your files are processed in this browser tab. This page has no function that sends files to a server, and its security rules (Content Security Policy) forbid connections to other servers.
Check it yourself: load this page, then switch on flight mode or disconnect Wi-Fi and run the tool. It still works – because everything happens on your device.

How it works – step by step
Choose your PDF
Select the PDF that should get a watermark. Protected PDFs are unlocked with their password right on the file.
Design text or image
Type a text such as “DRAFT” or choose a logo. Set opacity, size and rotation and tap a spot in the preview – or repeat it tiled across the page.
Add and save
Tap “Add watermark” and download or share the new PDF.

Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. The PDF and the logo stay on your device; everything happens in your browser. Once the page has loaded, the tool even works offline.
Can the watermark be removed?
It is written into the page content, not added as a comment. A PDF editing program can still remove it – a watermark labels a document, it is not copy protection.
Why can't I see the watermark “below the content”?
Below the content it only shows where the page is transparent. Scanned pages and pages with a white background cover it. In that case choose “Above the content” with a low opacity.
Which images can I use?
PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF and AVIF. Transparency in PNG and WebP is kept. The image is embedded at full resolution.
Which characters work in the text?
The built-in PDF fonts cover Western European characters. Other characters are replaced – the preview tells you which ones.
