How can I check that nothing is uploaded?
Your files are processed in this browser tab. This page has no function that sends files to a server, and its security rules (Content Security Policy) forbid connections to other servers.

How it works – step by step
Choose your PDF
Select the PDF. Protected files are unlocked with their password right on the file.
Fill in the fields
Type what should appear at the top or bottom – left, centre or right. Placeholders such as {page}, {date} or {filename} are inserted with a tap.
Add and save
Check the preview, tap “Add” and download the finished PDF.

Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Headers and footers are added entirely in your browser. Your PDF never leaves your device.
Which placeholders are there?
{page} for the page number, {pages} for the page count, {date} for today's date, {filename} for the file name, {title} for the title from the PDF properties (otherwise the file name) and {bates} for the Bates number. The German names such as {seite} work, too.
What is a Bates number?
A running ID on every page, as used by law firms and authorities, for example “CASE-000001”. You choose the prefix, number of digits and start value. With several files, start the next one at the number the result shows you.
Will the lines cover my text?
They are written on top of the page content. If something is already at the edge, increase the distance from the edge or use another field. The preview shows you beforehand.
Which characters can I use?
The built-in PDF fonts cover Western European characters. Other characters are replaced – the preview tells you which ones.
