Write a withdrawal letter

A clear withdrawal letter for online and phone purchases – as a PDF or to copy into an e-mail.

How can I check that nothing is uploaded?

Your files are processed in this browser tab. This page has no function that sends files to a server, and its security rules (Content Security Policy) forbid connections to other servers.

Check it yourself: load this page, then switch on flight mode or disconnect Wi-Fi and run the tool. It still works – because everything happens on your device.

Good to know

How it works – step by step
  1. Describe the order

Choose goods or a service and enter the order number, order and delivery dates and the items.

  2. Seller and refund

Enter the seller’s address and, if you like, an account for the refund, a tracking number or a request for a returns label.

  3. Send it

Create the PDF or copy the text into an e-mail. Send it in a way you can prove.

Why FaLe?
  • Clear wording

The letter states plainly that you withdraw from the contract and lists what it concerns.

  • Refund included

Asks for all payments to be refunded, including the original delivery costs, to a specific account if you want.

  • Dates at a glance

Shows when a 14-day period from delivery would end – as a guide only, not legal advice.

  • Stays with you

Everything happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
How long do I have to withdraw?

That depends on where you live and on the seller’s terms. Many countries give consumers a period such as 14 days for online purchases. Check before relying on it – this tool is not legal advice.

Is sending the goods back enough?

Often not. It is safer to state clearly that you withdraw – for example with this letter by e-mail or post.

Do I need to sign it?

A signature is usual on a paper letter. By e-mail the text is normally enough.

Will I get the delivery costs back?

The letter asks for them. Whether the seller has to refund them, and who pays for the return, depends on the terms and the applicable law.

Is my data stored?

No. The letter is made in your browser. Your sender details are only kept if you switch on “Remember sender”.
