How it works – step by step
Choose the layout
Form B is the usual layout, form A leaves less room for a letterhead. Pick an information block or a reference line, and add a notice such as “Registered mail” if you like.
Write the letter
Enter the recipient, subject and your text. The preview shows the page right away – also when the letter runs onto a second page.
Sign and save
Sign with your finger or later on the printout and create the PDF. You can also copy the text, for example into an e-mail.

Frequently asked questions
What is DIN 5008?
The German standard for business letters. It fixes where the address, the information block and the fold marks go, so the address shows in the window of standard envelopes.
What is the difference between form A and form B?
In form A the address field starts 27 mm from the top, in form B 45 mm. Form B leaves more room for a letterhead and is the more common choice.
Which envelope fits?
Folded in three, the letter fits a DL window envelope; folded once or not at all, a C5 or C4 window envelope.
Can I write longer letters?
Yes. Longer text continues on the next page, and every page gets “Page x of y”.
Is my information stored?
No. Everything stays in your browser. Only if you switch on “Remember sender” does your browser keep your name and address on this device – switching it off deletes them.
