Frequently asked questions
Does PNG make the image better?
No. What the JPG has already lost doesn’t come back. PNG only prevents further loss while you keep editing.
Why is the PNG so much larger?
PNG stores every pixel losslessly. For photos the file is therefore usually several times the size of the JPG.
Does the PNG get a transparent background?
No. A JPG has no transparency, so the PNG has none either. Removing the background is a different task.
Are my photos uploaded?
No, everything happens in your browser.
