Resize images

Change width and height in pixels, percent or for social media – with cropping around a focal point.

How can I check that nothing is uploaded?

Your files are processed in this browser tab. This page has no function that sends files to a server, and its security rules (Content Security Policy) forbid connections to other servers.

Check it yourself: load this page, then switch on flight mode or disconnect Wi-Fi and run the tool. It still works – because everything happens on your device.

Good to know

How it works – step by step
  1. Choose images

Pick one or more photos from your gallery or take one with your camera.

  2. Set the size

Use a preset like square 1:1 or story 9:16, enter pixels or percent, or limit the longest side. When cropping, tap the most important part of the picture.

  3. Save or share

Tap “Resize” and share the images right away or download them – several also as a ZIP.

Why FaLe?
  • Focal point when cropping

When a landscape photo becomes a square, a tap decides which part stays – for each image or the same for all.

  • Clean downscaling

Large photos are reduced in several steps, so fine patterns don’t shimmer and edges stay calm.

  • Presets, no maths

Square, portrait 4:5, story, link preview, header image, e-mail, Full HD and 4K – with the usual pixel sizes.

  • No upload

Your photos stay on your device. Location and camera data can be removed at the same time.

Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?

No. The images are processed in your browser and never leave your device.

What’s the difference between crop, borders and stretch?

Crop fills the format completely and cuts off what sticks out – you choose which part stays. With borders the whole image stays visible and free space gets a colour of your choice. Stretch squashes the image into the format, which usually looks unnatural.

Can I resize several images at once?

Yes. All images get the same size; when cropping you can pick the area per image or use one for all. Images are processed one after another so the phone isn’t overloaded.

Can I make an image larger?

Yes, but it won’t get sharper. That’s why “Don’t enlarge small images” is on by default. Fixed formats like 1080 × 1080 are enlarged if needed, and you get a note.

Is the quality preserved?

Downscaling is done in several steps, which keeps details clean. For JPG and WebP you set the quality yourself; the default is 90 %.

I only want a smaller file in KB – which tool do I use?

“Compress image” is better for that: it shrinks the file directly, below a target size in KB if you like, without working out pixel sizes. “Resize image” is for exact pixel dimensions.
