How can I check that nothing is uploaded?
Your files are processed in this browser tab. This page has no function that sends files to a server, and its security rules (Content Security Policy) forbid connections to other servers.
Check it yourself: load this page, then switch on flight mode or disconnect Wi-Fi and run the tool. It still works – because everything happens on your device.
Good to know
How it works – step by step
Choose images
Pick photos or graphics – JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF and BMP. HEIC works if your browser can open it.
Choose the format
Tap JPG, PNG or WebP (AVIF if your browser can save it). For JPG you set the quality and the background colour for transparent areas.
Convert and share
Tap “Convert”, compare before and after, then share or download the images.
Why FaLe?
Transparency under control
When going from PNG to JPG you choose the colour transparent areas get – instead of a random black.
Date stays, location goes
The capture date can be kept so your gallery sorts correctly. Location and camera data are removed.
Honest about formats
AVIF and WebP are only offered if your browser can really save them. HEIC only opens in a browser that supports it – you see that right away.
Many images at once
Convert whole photo series. Images are processed one after another, which spares your phone’s memory.

Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. The conversion happens in your browser; your images stay on your device.
Which format should I choose?
JPG for photos that should work everywhere. PNG for graphics, screenshots with text and images with transparency. WebP for small files on websites. AVIF is even smaller but not every app can open it.
What happens to transparent areas in JPG?
JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas get the background colour you choose – white by default.
Can I convert HEIC photos from an iPhone?
Yes, if your browser can open HEIC, for example Safari on iPhone, iPad or Mac. Other browsers often can’t read the format; then we show you how to get the photo as a JPG.
Do I lose quality when converting?
Converting to PNG is lossless. JPG, WebP and AVIF compress; at the default quality of 92 % the difference is hard to see. Check it with the before/after slider.
