Mail merge letters

Load your address list, write the letter with placeholders – and get a finished letter for every row.

Just a single letter to one recipient? Letter template (DIN 5008)

How can I check that nothing is uploaded?

Your files are processed in this browser tab. This page has no function that sends files to a server, and its security rules (Content Security Policy) forbid connections to other servers.

Check it yourself: load this page, then switch on flight mode or disconnect Wi-Fi and run the tool. It still works – because everything happens on your device.

Good to know

How it works – step by step
  1. Load the list

Choose an Excel file (.xlsx) or CSV with one row per recipient. The columns become placeholders like {First name} or {City}.

  2. Write the letter

Write subject and text and insert placeholders with a tap. The address is prepared from your columns, {Salutation} picks the right greeting.

  3. Check and create

Flip through the recipients in the preview. Then create one PDF with all letters for printing – or one PDF per recipient as a ZIP.

Why FaLe?
  • No Word, no Office subscription

A classic mail merge needs Word and Excel. Here the browser is enough – even on a phone.

  • Common glitches fixed

Dates don’t show up as “45234”, postcodes keep their leading zero, and empty fields leave no gaps in the address.

  • Salutation done for you

Title, gender and name become “Dear Ms Dr. Miller,” or “Dear Mr Smith,” – no merge rules needed.

  • Addresses stay with you

The list is read in your browser and uploaded nowhere.

Frequently asked questions
How should my Excel list look?

One row per recipient with column names in the first row, e.g. title, first name, last name, street, postcode and city. Any other column, like a customer number or amount, works as a placeholder too.

How do I get the right salutation?

Put {Salutation} in the salutation line. With “Ms”/“Mr” (or “f”/“m”) in a gender or title column it becomes “Dear Ms …” or “Dear Mr …”; without, “Dear first name last name”.

Can I send each recipient their own PDF?

Yes. Choose “One PDF per recipient (ZIP)” and set how the files are named, e.g. {Last name} {First name}.

Does it fit window envelopes?

The letters follow the German DIN 5008 layout: the address sits in the window of DL and C5 envelopes.

Are my addresses uploaded?

No. The list is read in your browser and the PDFs are made there too.
