Remove background
An AI on your device cuts out products, animals and people. Nothing is uploaded.
- Stays on your device
- No limits
- No watermark

How can I check that nothing is uploaded?
Your files are processed in this browser tab. This page has no function that sends files to a server, and its security rules (Content Security Policy) forbid connections to other servers.
Check it yourself: load this page, then switch on flight mode or disconnect Wi-Fi and run the tool. It still works – because everything happens on your device.
Good to know
How it works – step by step
Choose photos
Choose one or more photos. The first time, your browser downloads the AI model once – after that it also works offline.
Check and touch up
The preview shows the cut-out subject. Paint mistakes away with “Keep” and “Remove”, zoom with two fingers.
Pick a background and save
Transparent, a colour, the blurred original or your own picture – then save as PNG, WebP or JPG.
Why FaLe?
No upload
The AI model runs in your browser. Your photos never leave your device – not even for the preview.
Full resolution
The result has the pixel size of your photo. The edge is aligned with the contours of the photo instead of just being scaled up.
Touch up with your finger
Keep and remove brushes, two-finger zoom, undo, and sliders for the edge and its softness.
Many photos, offline too
Several pictures at once, no watermark and no limits. After the first load it works without internet.

Frequently asked questions
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Detection runs with a small AI model right in your browser. Only the model itself is downloaded once – your pictures stay on your device.
How big is the first download?
Once, about 7 MB for the object model and 8 MB for the person model (up to 16 or 18 MB without compression). After that the model is stored and the tool also works offline.
How good is the result?
For clear subjects against a calm background – products, animals, people – usually very good. Fine hair, fur, glass, smoke and subjects with little contrast to the background are often not separated cleanly. You fix that with the brush. Large data-centre models are more accurate on difficult photos.
Which model should I choose?
“Object, product, animal” suits most photos, including full-length people. “Person (portrait)” is meant for portraits and upper bodies and is more precise with hair – it does not detect objects without a person.
Why is the background white with JPG?
JPG can’t store transparency. For a see-through background choose PNG or WebP.
How long does it take?
One to three seconds per photo on a current computer, longer on older phones. The work runs in the background and the page stays usable.
