Frequently asked questions
Is this a legally valid electronic signature?
It is an image of your signature. That is fine for many everyday documents, but it is not a qualified electronic signature. Where a handwritten signature is required, sign on paper.
How do I get the signature into Word (DOCX)?
Download the PNG and insert it as a picture. Because the background is transparent, the signature sits cleanly on the line.
What is the difference between PNG and SVG?
PNG is a pixel image that almost every program understands. SVG is a vector that stays sharp when enlarged, but isn’t supported everywhere.
How do I get a good photo?
Sign with a dark pen on white paper and take a straight photo from above in good light. The “Sensitivity” slider also picks up light strokes.
Is my signature stored?
Only if you tick “Remember on this device” – then in your browser on this device. You can delete it at any time.
